Zach Graduated May 1st with a MBA and a MAcc (Master's in Accountancy). He received the National Advisory Board Award for the school of business and was inducted into the Beta Gamma Sigma International Business Society. We are very proud of him and are excited to see what comes next. He is currently studying to take the GMAT this summer and hopefully next year we will be starting another 5 years of school for a PhD in Accounting. Crazy!! Thanks for all your love and support.

Ada Murray was born April 7th at 2:33 p.m. She weighed 7lbs. 6oz. and was 19 1/2 inches long. The delivery was very quick and she is perfectly healthy. So far so good.....three kids makes me a little nervous but we are excited she is finally here. Thanks to everyone for your love and support.

Yep that's us, my dad Fabs rebar out there and we decided to go out and have some fun! It was a lot of fun, a little dusty but fun! Tin foil dinners, four wheeler and tons of space for kids to explore, the kids had a blast picking up trash (crazy I know, this was their idea not ours) and searching for golf balls.

This was our first attempt at Sam's costume. He wasn't excited about the cowboy, when I asked him if he wanted to be a monkey instead he got really excited. It fit him perfectly (and I don't mean size), it was pretty funny! Owen was the best lookin cowboy out there!! It was a fun night!

Sam lingered at every door making sure he said good bye to everyone at least 5 times and the highlight of the night was when Sam walked into a strangers house when they opened the door and got stuck on a mouse trap (the sticky kind their were no injuries).

This was before Sam was kicked off the chair for playing with the carving knives.

We had Owen's Star Wars party at the Hodson's and everything turned out great! We played pin the light saber on Darth Vader, Meteor Shower (lots of balloons with prizes and they had to pop them to get the prizes), Jedi Training and then smashed open the Darth Vader pinata. It was a lot of fun! Owen LOVED it! Thanks Hodson Family and everyone for your help.

These are a few pics of my back porch garden. We are renting and we are not allowed to plant anything in the ground so Zach and I made a few planter boxes, I planted peas and beans in them so they are in the shade. Also I went to Ross and found a few containers ( you can see them in the pictures on the front and back porch pictures) that aren't your typical garden pots (just make sure to punch holes in the bottom for water drainage).

This post is mostly for my Mom (I know she'll appreciate it)! I wanted to plant herbs so I planted a bunch of different herbs and then I also have two cherry tomato plants hanging upside down in one of the flower pots ( I saw this on the news and thought it was a great idea, plus Owen LOVES tomatoes.) I also have a few vegetables in my backyard that I grew in pots. Our ward has a garden so I also have a garden plot I just planted, I will have to take some pictures. It has been really fun and I recommend gardening to everyone!!

I am not trying to convince anyone to join me in this cause, I just want to inform those who may not know about this.

~ The original Nestlé boycott started in 1977 in protest of Nestlé’s unethical, aggressive and patently harmful marketing of artificial baby milk in Third World countries. The company engaged women to dress up like nurses and distribute free samples that lasted just long enough to dry up a mother’s own breast milk. Impoverished women who could not afford to purchase enough of the expensive artificial milk would resort to diluting it with excess amounts of water which led to infant malnutrition

. Furthermore, artificial milk prepared with unsanitary water supplies led to unnecessary illness. Add in the fact that the infants were not protected by the antibodies present in human breast milk and children were suffering and dying needlessly as a consequence of Nestlé’s deceptive marketing tactics." The only hard part about this is giving up the many products and brands that are under the Nestle name. To name a few, Arrowhead water, Buitoni Pasta, Carnation Instant Breakfast, Dreyers Ice Cream, Drumsticks, Gerber Baby Food, Haagen-dazs, Hot Pockets, Juicy Juice, Lean Cuisine, Perrier, Power Bar, Stouffers, Laffy Taffy, Butterfinger, Crunch...the list goes on....check it out for yourselves. At first it was a little difficult, but when you think about why you're doing it, it is a piece of cake. I'm not saying I went through my kitchen and through out perfectly good food, we ate what we had left and decided to never buy those products again. We went up to Springville last weekend for Isaacs Baptism and we had a lot of fun! I haven't been to a Baptism in a long time so I was glad to be there. Owen LOVED it! It's overwhelming.....I have so much I could work on this year. Here are a few of my goals.

To be more Grateful for all that I have.
Food Storage- Last year I did our 72 hour kits, this year will be our food storage.
De-Junk- Get rid of almost everything in my garage.
Less TV
Organize- I might have to hire my sister-in-law Sarah for that one.
Read more- last year I was good about reading....lately not so much...need to start a good book(any suggestions).
Gardening- I am determined to have a good....GREAT garden this year....I have taken seeds from heirloom tomatoes and I'm going to try to grow them. I'll let you know how it goes.
Recycling- Doing my part to reduse, reuse and recycle.
and the obvious, exercise more, eat better...blah blah blah....

phew.....we'll see how it goes. wish me luck.

We were lucky enough to have Santa drop by before bedtime! All the kids sat on his lap and told him what they wanted for Christmas. When Owen told Santa he wanted a blue light saber for Christmas Santa pulled out a gift and believe it or not it was a blue light saber! Owen was soooo excited! He's had that light saber by his side ever since. The kids loved it! Thanks Santa! wink wink

Me and Lindsay were at a store and Sam started screaming (the scream that says,"I'm hurt"). So I rush over and a little girl was lifting herself off of poor Sam who was pinned down, then I realize that his nose has been bitten and I mean BITTEN! His nose was white and purple and he was bleeding in the crease! Well you can look at the pictures but these look really good compared to how it looked at first. I felt so bad for Sam but I have to admit I felt worse for the mother of this little girl, she felt so bad. Turns out that this mother owns the store so her daughter is always there so when Sam tried to play with a toy she got really mad and took a bite out of him. It's funny now but it was really really awkward at the time. Me and Lindsay were pretend shopping because we didn't know what to do after the incident. I was flipping through close for Sam who wears 12 month and I looked up to realize I was in the 0-3 month clothing. haha AWKWARD! I won't be going back to that store. Kids will be kids. Poor Sam.

This is a set of old theater seats. We got them from Bucky several years ago before they revamped the Electric theater. They've been outside in our backyard so I thought I would refinish them with a sealant.

While working on this project Owen stuck his hand on the bench at the same time that Sam was crawling under the bench so they both got sealant all over. Unfortunately water doesn't take it off so I had to break out the mineral spirits(paint thinner) and clean them off. Note to self: Don't work with sealants or paint while kids are around.

Last weekend we went to the corn maze in St. George. The kids had a lot of fun and loved picking their own pumpkins! Thanks Grandma Jacque!

My Dad's Birthday was actually the 10th but I wasn't around to post anything. For those of you who know my Dad you know how kind and generous he is, also how driven he is. A few of these photos are of him when he built his first kiln. He is still doing pottery and building kilns, we all fight over who gets the next pot. And all the grand kids love "helping" him throw pots (those of you who've thrown before can imagine what is like to have little kids bugging you) but he barely notices them. He's a great Dad and a even better Papa. We love you!

Sam's Discoveries

These are the things that Samuel has discovered today. Yesterday it was a piece of burnt food from the barbeque and thank goodness we saved him from the bird poop. It's amazing my children are still alive!

I don't think I need to explain this one.

My cleaning cupboard, that's why I have them taped up(you can't really see the tape).

Bat Silhouettes

Bats in different sizes give the illusion that some are close, and some are far away. To make one: Print and cut out the bat template; tape wing sections to body, matching up the dotted lines. Use a utility knife to cut out facial details. Our bats range from 6 inches to 3 feet across; template sections can be enlarged or reduced on a photocopier as desired. Trace template onto heavy black construction paper, taping pieces together for larger bats; cut out. Use removable double-sided tape to attach bats to wall, curving them over moldings and leaving edges of wings free to "flap."
